GERMANY: 1924 Buick

The car was built in Canada in 1924 by McLaughlin for the New Zealand market.

There it was delivered to a NZ farmer by the car company H+W Bain Ltd. in Fielding.

The car had three previous owners; the farmer mentioned above who had her
for about 30 years.

Then a student of Wellington university who drove her again almost 20 years and then sold her in 1972 to a collector named Richard Langridge from Auckland. Richard replaced the hood and upholstery, everything else remained "original".

We bought it from Richard in 1995. I have made enquiries and investigations about the car here in Europe and I learned that she is the only remaining 4-cyl. McLaughlin in Europe.
