This car was purchased in Sydney in 1928 by two brothers (names are unknown) who lived in Hurstville NSW and used the car for private and business use for many years. Only one of the brothers was able to drive and when he died the car was left garaged for a long period of time. On the death of the second brother the car was willed to a Lions Club for sale by auction.

During the 1960's Mr. Kevin James Bent of Kingsgrove, Sydney; purchased the car and seemingly carried out some restoration prior to using it extensively in rallies over several years as a member of the Antique and Classic Motor Club (membership number 283).

The Veteran Car Club National Tour from Sydney to Adelaide in April 1965 is the first recorded outing. The car was recognised by two major awards presented by the Antique and Classic Motor Club:

   • "Best restoration" 1967
   • "Open Annual Concourse de Elegance" 1967.

During Mr Bent's ownership the car was used in a series of CASTROL oil television advertisements in the mid-70's, prior to the "oils ain't oils" series. Mr. Bent stored the car in a museum to the West of Sydney.

Mr. George Fitzgerald of Lismore purchased the car around 1977 when the museum closed and the car was used for occasional runs during the years to 1986.

Mr. Leo Collodetti of Shepparton purchased the car on 17th October 1986 and had it transported by car carrier to Shepparton. Extensive engine, gearbox and differential work together with a conversion to 12 volt electric's and the replacement of the Marvel carburetor with a Stromberg unit and electric fuel pump, was all completed in time for the Australian Bicentennial Castrol World Rally in June 1988. The car was driven from Shepparton to Melbourne to join the Melbourne convoy, rally number M219, and then along the coast to Canberra before returning to Shepparton. The car has been stored in Shepparton except for occasional use through Mr Collodetti's membership of the Goulburn Valley Vintage Drivers Club, permit number 1-967.

Bruce and Lorice Vine of Tawonga purchased the car on 27th June 1998, taking delivery in Shepparton before driving it to Tawonga. It proudly wears the same Club permit number although now associated with the Bright Vehicle Preservation Society.
